It is an undeniable fact that more and more people turn to ecology, others because they honestly care about the environment and others because it’s ‘’in fashion’’. Nevertheless, consumers tend to prefer ‘’green’’ packages and ecological solutions more than before.
In the recent European Consumer Packaging Perceptions Survey, in a 7,000 people sample, 9 out of 10 consumers want a legislation about that issue. In addition, people ask for more information on the subject, with the British asking in an 88% about writing the related information on products. More than half of the UK public has already reduced using products with non-eco-friendly packages whereas 9 out of 10 ask them to be easily recycled.
In the first two places regarding the most commitment to environment consumers, we have Spanish and Germans. With an 81% and 71% percentage respectively answered that the ‘’green’’ or not nature of a product’s package plays an important role on their decision of buying it.
