The conference 2ND FOOD FOR SUCCESS CONFERENCE 2015 was successfully held under the auspices of the Association of Greek Food Industries (BTD), the Commercial & Industrial Chamber of Athens (ACCI), the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING), the German-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and the Association of Hellenic Retail (HRBA) on October 21, at the Titania hotel in Athens. The conference was attended by government representatives, executives of companies operating in the Greek market and abroad throughout the production and distribution range of the food and beverage industry, academics, scientists, experts, bankers, transport and logistics companies as well as members of chambers and ligaments.

Central theme of the discussions was to strengthen the extroversion of Greek enterprises especially those involved in the food and beverage industry.
Among the participants, was the CEO of DK Consultants, Mr. Dimitris Karavasilis, who in his presentation described the chronic weaknesses of the Greek commerce as a result to the low value and therefore the low competitiveness of the Greek products. He also analyzed successful export activity factors and then explained the obstacles that Greek export companies face. Mr Karavasilis stressed the importance of diversification particularly regarding packaging. Finally, he put forward substantive proposals that will help to strengthen the export performance of Greek enterprises.
